Hi I'm Anna and I'm 10 years old. About 2 or 3 months ago my mom said were going to look at rocks. I thought she meant to sit down and there would be some kind of slide show showing big gray dull rocks so I said I didn't want to go. It was in Topsfield but my mom still dragged me along. So technically I was forced out of the house and into the car.
When we got there it didn't look so bright and the scenery outside it looked like a deserted desert. There were no sounds or noises, only 2 or 3 cars, and just two small plain white buildings. We thought maybe they canceled it. But no way! When we got inside it was spectacular and about a million people were there. I was all of a sudden bright and happy.
I was so excited I could hardly breathe! Everywhere I looked there were magnificent beautiful rocks in sight. I loved it. It was like heaven. Here and there people and rocks my dad kept asking to leave.
At the very end my mom said I could buy 5 rocks and go look in the sand box once. So I bought a rather large quartz, a big crystal that was green purple blue and rainbow you could see straight through it, a large piece of mica, a small piece of garnet, and an emerald. In the sand box I found magnificent things from a fossil to the slightest piece of quartz.
By the time we got home I was examining my rocks and I decided to collect rocks. I said the next time there's going to be a show in Massachusetts I'll be there with all the money I got.
